The Project Architect is a trained architect and/or engineer that supports the Development Team in the planning and design of various project types for the company.
Job responsibilities include:
- Supports project planning & design on multiple levels and across multiple categories of real estate with the ability to influence and follow projects from concept to reality.
- Review design & construction documents for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Collaborating with other Hankin Group disciplines to agree on project parameters.
- Assist our construction division interpreting design documents and solving technical problems or questions.
- Assist with LEED coordination during design and administration during/after construction to obtain certifications.
- Performs site inspections to review progress of various elements of civil & architectural work.
Position requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering. Master’s degree and/or professional license is preferred but not required
- 7 or more years of experience with strong skills in design, documentation, and construction administration
- Knowledge of green/sustainable building practices.
Technical:
- Possesses a well-rounded knowledge of architecture, structure, and building systems such that he/she can read, interpret, and coordinate the work of various disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of building and accessibility codes (IBC, ANSI, etc).
- Strong experience in construction administration.
- Familiarity with building materials and detailing.
General:
- Collaborative, team-oriented worker with a desire to learn.
- Strong problem-solving abilities & leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated.
- Excellent computer skills including Bluebeam, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.
