Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented POP Display – Customer Project Manager for our Point of Purchase Display Department. The focus of the position is to manage customer relationships including quoting, entering production orders, purchasing, providing customers with regular updates, and following up with both our international and local production teams.
The successful candidate will be outgoing, have exceptional written and communication skills, the desire to learn, solid experience using business software, and Microsoft Suite.
Responsibilities (including but are not limited to the following):
- Collaborate new product design from concept through manufacturing with input from sales, engineering, and customers.
- Assist with development, prototyping and testing of new products using LEDs, LCD Displays, small electric motors, and other components.
- Coordinate fabrication of electronic samples and prototypes for POP displays, illuminated signs, or illuminated tap handles, per customer requirements.
- Create and update new and existing BOMs as needed.
- Assist with project quoting and estimating.
- Identify and vet potential vendors
- Communicate performance of existing products to meet project specific requirements.
- Provide technical support for the Sales Group and other project team members.
- Participate and provide input in design meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Issue engineering component specifications for both domestic and overseas vendors.
- Interface with other project team members, suppliers, and customers during the project life cycle.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and produce quotations.
- Receive and process orders from customers.
- Enter the production order in our computer system.
- Follow up with the production staff to be sure the order is on schedule.
- Investigate & resolve customer problems.
- Assist with targeting markets and prospects.
- Place calls to potential customers.
Job Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Electrical/Mechanical assembly background desired.
- Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology is a plus.
- Prior experience with LEDs, PCB layouts, RF and IR technology, and electrical assembly is a plus.
- Experience with LCD displays is a plus.
- Minimum 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Experience with Solid Works or similar solid based CAD program a plus.
- Detail oriented individual.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understand manufacturing processes and inventory control functions.
- Experience with manufacturing software for production orders and inventory.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook), and Internet savvy.
