Summary/Objective:
As a team member, you will report to the Operations Coordinator and interact with senior and clinical management. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist the clinical staff with daily scheduling and coordinating patient needs. This will include the unique opportunity to facilitate 12-step lectures and group discussions, providing a platform for significant personal growth and development. You will also be directly involved in monitoring and mentoring the patients, maintaining files, and facilitating off-facility activities. In addition, you will play a crucial role in supporting the admission/intake process and contributing to overall patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible support. To effectively fulfill this role, you must thoroughly know Hanley’s staff, programs, and properties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between patients and staff and relay pertinent information, including observations, to appropriate Clinical Staff.
- Supervise daily patient operations and always act sensitive to their needs and best interests.
- Provide thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of patient services.
- Assist patients with transportation needs.
- Communicate and set limits with culturally diverse patients.
- Maintain the safety of the patients and the security of the facility.
- Participate in the intake and discharge process of patients.
- Administration of drug screens.
- Instruct recovery-based lectures as assigned.
- Protect patient confidentiality following Hanley Policy.
- Maintain clear work-life separation.
- Uphold all Hanley Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain patient/potential patient confidentiality following Hanley Policy.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a behavioral health technician or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in a helping profession preferred.
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft products and network
- components.
- If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
- Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirements per policy.
