This is a full-time position. The schedule is Wednesday-Sunday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The Position
The Medical Assistant works with the medical and nursing staff, providing clients with personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care. The Medical Assistant observes, receives, and obtains information from all relevant sources. The Medical Assistant is responsible for keeping up-to-date, technically applying new knowledge to the job, and providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and others by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Medical Assistants will be required to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form. Qualifications:
- Current medical assistant certification.
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Experience administering EKG testing
- Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and experience working in the treatment field is preferred.
- If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
Physical Demands:
An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
