What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr Project Manager (HE LLC) position at Hanley Energy Group?
This role is within the Hanley Energy US East Region providing project support to the Project manager as well as the US Head of projects. Prior training and experience working within a project driven environment is essential for the role. Primary focus will be to serve as a technical link between Clients, Third Party Vendors, Subcontractors, and in-house Engineering Teams to ensure projects are delivered as efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Project Managers and US Head of Projects to support small project scheduling, updating of small project plans, and coordination of the Project & Controls Team members on various projects throughout the US East Region.
- Communicate at least daily with the Project and Controls Team members about Hanley Energy deliverables based on individual project needs. Real time updates may also be required.
- Attend client commissioning and coordination meetings with customers, clients, vendors, and industry partners.
- Clarify queries through the request for information (RFI) system.
- Implement the project quality control procedures and maintain project databases.
- Prepare technical submissions and reports for client approval.
- Periodic site visits may be required to monitor project progress & provide client updates.
- Maintain a variation and change order log.
- Compile O Ms and handover documentation
- Create project plans and assist Project Managers with updating dates, progress percentages and invoicing.
- Monitor WIP reports to ensure correct costs are being allocated and budgets are adhered to.
- Help maintain PMO dashboards for monthly reporting.
- Support the PMO with ongoing improvement initiatives.
Technical/ Job Specific Skills Required:
- Work within a team environment, as well as independently. Be a self-starter to execute a variety of project functions efficiently and professionally.
- Basic understanding of Electrical theory and control circuits.
- Basic understanding of the hazards associated with electrical energy.
- Proficiency of use with MS Office 365 Suite (highly desirable)
- Proficiency of use with Bluebeam (highly desirable), Adobe Acrobat may be considered equivalent.
- Basic working experience with smartsheet (highly desirable)
- Bachelors Degree preferred (Electrical, Controls, Automation); working experience in a similar role may be considered equivalent.
- Previous experience of working on Industrial sites or Data Centers is desirable.
- Must be able to proficiently utilize multiple communication tools including email, smartsheet, and SMS/MMS based devices.
