Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple Low Voltage switchgear projects simultaneously across the AMER Region, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations.
- Lead in-house cross-functional teams, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout all phases of LV switchgear projects, including EPMS, UPS, MV/LV Transformer integration, power monitoring, and transfer systems.
- Interpret client requirements and develop detailed project plans and scopes of work specific to LV switchgear systems.
- Assess and allocate the necessary resources to efficiently execute each project.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of key project documents, including Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Budgets, Risk Registers, Progress Reports, Quality Plans, Change Orders, and Close-Out Reports.
- Conduct kick-off and progress meetings on-site and off-site with clients and project teams.
- Monitor project commercial performance, addressing any deviations to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Drive procurement, vendor management, and invoicing processes in line with project requirements.
- Identify business opportunities and relay insights to the sales and management teams.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and compile close-out reports with a focus on scope, budget, and resource management.
- Support internal functions with technical insights, contributing to process improvements within the PMO and wider organization.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in the design, installation, commissioning, or project management of Low Voltage switchgear systems.
- Additional experience in related fields such as electrical power distribution, control systems, SCADA, EMS/BMS, and UPS systems is highly desirable.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Automation, or related fields. PMP certification and relevant trade backgrounds will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably in switchgear or electrical power systems.
- Strong understanding of Low Voltage switchgear components, protection schemes, and integration with critical power systems.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and project financials effectively.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- High-level proficiency in project management software and IT tools.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel periodically across the AMER regions.
