Engineering Intern – Envision Platform

Location : Austin, TX

Duration : Jun 2nd to Aug 15th 2025 – 29 hours / week

Pay : $20 per hour

Department : Digital Solutions Engineering

Reports To : Praveen Guggarigoudar

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our development team and contribute to building web applications and backend services for the Envision Platform . Envision is a B2B platform used by builders in a design center to streamline the home design process. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in software development, cloud technologies, and modern web frameworks.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and enhancing web applications and backend services for the Envision platform.
Work with developers to implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
Collaborate on API design, database management, and integration with third-party services.
Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and team discussions to gain exposure to Agile development practices.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and performance.
Document technical specifications and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with web development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).

Understanding of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET).

Basic knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and RESTful APIs.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
