The Staff Accountant plays an important role in the company's accounting department, compliance, US & and international accounting, and financial audits. The individual adheres to the company's accounting operation policies, compliance with global standards, and aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in efficient month end close process, ensuring adherence to close deadlines
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolutions
- Maintain and reconcile prepaid expenses and other assets as well as accruals and other liabilities
- Prepare other balance sheet reconciliations as assigned, ensuring that all accounts are reconciled accurately, promptly and consistently
- Prepare journal entries with adequate and appropriate supporting documentation
- Provide support in the annual financial audit
- Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual compliance filings including but not limited to sales tax and annual reports
- Develop desktop procedures across areas of responsibility to enable better training and to reduce risk for business interruption
- Continuously review and recommend improvements to financial processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Ensure all accounting practices are in line with GAAP and company policies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
