Job Description
The Meat Market Cutter is responsible for cutting and processing meat products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. This includes performing cutting functions for various types of meat products, scraping and tray products, cubing steaks, grinding ground meats, and cutting and processing meat according to Standard Practice Manual.
Responsibilities
- Perform cutting functions for various types of meat products
- Scrape and tray products, cube steaks, grind ground meats and cut and process meat according to Standard Practice Manual
- Identify, wrap, price, and weigh all meat department items in accordance with specified procedures outlined by standard practice
- Stock the fresh, frozen, and self-service cases with meat products
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Previous experience in meat cutting or related field preferred; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
