This position manages the brand's creative and design strategy process, with an aim of building brand connection, meaning, and consistency within and across channels. Scope includes development of creative briefs, campaign development, management of holistic campaign assets and décor packages, creative reviews and processes, agency management, and brand experience. Enables all marketing areas and partners to work in harmony to create a cohesive and powerful brand identity.
Success in this role requires strong consumer empathy and curiosity, an understanding of brand and creative strategy, ability to evaluate creative work against objectives set out in briefs, familiarity with design thinking methodology, clear and compelling communication, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to develop and lead a team. The position is responsible for building strong working relationships and processes within the creative team, the strategy/planning team, and across the organization to deliver impactful brand creative and experiences.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the strategic brand creative development process for the marketing function, from brief development through finalization of creative in conjunction with agency partners and key stakeholders, ensuring that the brand comes to life in relevant, compelling ways that build equity and deliver on business objectives/priorities
- Leverage an in-depth understanding of the consumer and business to translate brand strategies into clear and detailed creative briefs that will inspire and guide partners in bringing our brand story to life and achieving desired business outcomes
- Develop and lead the creative evaluation process, from brief to testing to final aligned assets, ensuring key stakeholders are brought along as needed and that each element of a brand or campaign is achieving its objective and delivering on required consistency
- Manage partnerships and relationships with brand creative partners/agencies in service of a high-performance team, including defining the annual scope of work, building team trust and cohesion, establishing ways of working and evaluating performance against objectives
- Manage brand creative assets at the campaign level and via a detailed messaging plan to guide all project stakeholders and ensure timely development and delivery of creative throughout the year, working closely with brand strategy and media partners to ensure accuracy
- Act as channel manager/lead for broadcast TV, reviewing and optimizing media plan, leading creative and production process and reviews in close partnership with both media and creative agencies, and bringing key stakeholders along in the process
- Lead the development of 360 campaign roll-out strategies and plans in partnership with marketing leaders, agency partners, and other stakeholders for new brand campaigns *Partner closely with insights throughout campaign development to stay grounded in the consumer/customer throughout the process and evaluate or validate work as needed- from insight to final creative and post-launch
- Responsible for creating a strong retail connection to explore the realities of how our brand comes to life for customers in the store environment. Advises marketing partners on how to apply learnings.
- Lead brand décor strategy planning, in close collaboration with brand strategy team design team, ensuring that décor is delivering on a cohesive and powerful brand experience
- Inspire and guide direct report(s) to continuously strive for and achieve new levels of performance and efficiency
- Act as an advocate and champion of the Marketing function in creating a work environment and generating creative output that demonstrates growth impact, customer centricity, and a collaborative approach to work
Qualifications and Experience:
- In-depth understanding of brand and creative strategy
- Brand management, marketing or strategy experience (minimum 5 years)
- Proven success developing and executing integrated consumer marketing programs
- Experience as a leader of people and developer of talent (minimum 7 years)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
