Job Overview
This full time position is responsible for the acquisition of all materials and services necessary for the organizations operating needs and establishing and maintaining uniform procedures for procurement of materials and services that are consistent with company policies and Federal procurement regulations. Establish structure of the procurement department, responsibilities, titles and duties of procurement personnel; hire, train, develop and evaluate staff to achieve specified goals; direct procurement staff in procedures and activities to support the procurement function in service to the various departments and programs of the Tribal government; oversees purchases made by the Tribal government ensuring compliance with procurement process, issuance fo purchase orders, receipt of goods and services, receipt of invoices and approvals to pay invoices. Completes all other position related activities requested by CFO. Associates Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent requires; Bachelors Degree preferred. Must possess and maintain a current valid MI. driver's license and meet all insurance carrier requirements. Five years purchasing/procurement experience. Three years experience in a managerial capacity. Must have knowledge of Federal procurment rules, procedures and requirements; of applicable Microsoft office software; of Microsoft NAV is preferred. Must have proven leadership ability and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills and computational and analytical skills; have the ability to prioritize, delegate and make decisions as required; able to maintain confidentiality.
