This full time position is responsible for and manages all aspects of the treatment and distribution of the Tribe's drinking water supply and is responsible for and manages all aspects fo the collection and treatment fo the Tribe's wastewater. Oversees the Tribe's water and wastewater systems in compliance with relevent Federal regulations and requirements; software setup/programming of water and wastewater treatment systems; monitors and maintains community SBR plant; collection system, manholes, lift stations, and pumphouses and lateral services; community water plant; distribution system, water tower, PRV buildings and lateral services; prepares and keeps records as required by regulatory agencies in accordance with sound principles of water and wastewater treatment. Submits water analysis, data reporting, system needs data to Hannahville Health Department, EPA, and IHS. Participates in annual budget development and ensures operational expenditures compy with approved budget amounts; in tribal construction planning ensuring infrastructure needs/capacities are adequate for planned expansions. Degree in chemistry, biology, water and wastewater treatment or related field. Hold and maintain all licenses and certifications required by the Federal Government for the treatment of water and wastewater (class B wastewater operator certification, F-4, S-2, D-2 water operation and systems certification). Must possess and maintain a current valid MI. driver's license and meet all insurance carrier requirements. Minimum of 5 years working in water and wastewater treatment systems. Minimum of 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
