What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Registration Clerk position at Hannibal Regional Hospital?
Schedule and register all patients for planned hospital services. Obtain pre-certification and verification of benefits on all scheduled patient services.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One year healthcare registration preferred
- Experience in certification / verification of insurance preferred
- Strong communication skills, verbal, written and visual
- Demonstrated clerical skills including telephone, filing, customer services, office equipment and data input
- Strong organizational skills including independent problem resolution and establish priorities
- Basic Medical Terminology preferred or competent within three months of employment
- Ability to obtain certification within Access Management within one year preferred
