POSITION SUMMARY:
Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and make adjustments to production equipment in support of plant operations. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform mandatory daily inspection on production equipment visually or using test gauges according to the check sheets.
· Set-up, operate, and maintain technical instruments related to areas of responsibility.
· Monitor equipment performance, make observations for improvements, determine and record results, and propose solutions for improvement.
· Check machines and ensure machinery is operating at acceptable levels according to requirements and make necessary adjustment to meet quality specification.
· Startup designated machines as to the engineer’s or supervisor’s direction.
· Perform tool changes according to production requirements.
· Perform equipment preventive maintenance procedures as required. Support troubleshooting and routine machine adjustments.
· Be able to run all production related equipment and tooling in the assigned area for full understanding and support as needed.
· Responsible for notifying the production supervisor or engineer immediately critical quality or production related problems occur.
· Responsible to work safely and comply all applicable safety policies and procedures.
· Support and participate in EHS objectives.
· Participate in 5S and other improvement initiatives.
· Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:
- Minimum College level diploma in Mechanical/Electrical field or a 4-year degree in an Engineering field.
· Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred with experience in general plant equipment maintenance.
· Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
· Must have strong work ethic and mechanical ability.
· Must be able to work overtime and some weekends.
· Must be able to use PC and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Plant work environment with fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter).
- Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
- Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment such as steel toe shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Standing up to 8-12 hours per day.
- Frequent bending, reaching with arms forward/above the shoulders.
- Pushing / Pulling (carts)
- Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to analyze information, identify problems.
