What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Receiving Inspector Supervisor position at Hanon Systems Alabama?
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for direct supervision of all Receiving Inspection operations. Coordinates Daily functions and leads all training. Responsible for all attendance and timekeeping records for subordinates. Also will ensure all rules and regulations are followed and has the authority to initiate discipline when necessary. Creates and facilitates the receiving inspection and sorting plans for supplied and produced components. Schedule any and all special testing. Facilitates test reports and test analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Coordinate daily functions and training for QC staffers, inspectors in the receiving inspection and incoming inspection areas.
· Supports QC engineers, in process and receiving/incoming inspection(s) as required.
· Responsible for supervision of Hanon staffers and agency temporary staff.
· Develops/maintains communication lines to support the HANON-A Quality Control System.
· Develops/maintains communication lines to support quality functions.
· Verifies calibration scopes on testing devices/equipment.
COMPETENCIES
· Degree in Quality related field or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor.
· Min three (3) years’ experience working in a QC lab or related quality experience.
· Competent in use of various measurement tools (calipers, height gages, Micrometer, etc.)
· Good computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Formal education, if required or preferred
Occupational and industry related certifications
PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing up to 10-12 hours per day.
- Frequent bending, reaching with arms forward/above the shoulders.
- Pushing / Pulling up to 50 lbs. 10-12 hours per day.
- Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to analyze information, identify problems.
- Etc.
TRAVEL
Any Travel requirements (i.e. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected). By car, by plane.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse/Office, production floor (when required, Quality laboratory, etc).
- Automotive plant work environment with seasonal fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter).
- Exposure to noise and bright lights.
- Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
