Job Description
The cycle counter is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to MP&L Department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervisor
- Highlight areas of concern associated with inventory problems and communicate facts to supervisor any property loss, damage, destruction of inventory/materials
- Maintains inventory cycle count and schedules
- Conduct regular physical verification to determine the actual quality and account for variances
- Familiar with location of material in order to locate and count inventory in timely manner
- Operate a forklift and possibly work at height
- Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures
- Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
- Track and report non-conforming product
- Pro-active approach, and follow up on items of concern to minimize adverse outcomes
- Identify, remove and communicate outdated or obsolete materials from active shelves
- Follow and maintain an environmental health and safe work environment conditions by complying with all Hanon Systems Integrated Management Systems procedures, standards, and regulations
- Additional duties as may be assigned
Years of Experience
- Experience with material handling/cycle counting/inventory a plus
Degree Preferred
- High School with Diploma. Bachelor degree in field related with production and inventory control and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications
- Experience using SAP required
- Experience in manufacturing processes, productivity, and scheduling activities
- Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization skills
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Ability to understand customer demand and how MP&L effects production to meet demand
