POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and executing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product development and new programs. This includes working with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks, as well as develop and implement quality plans to ensure that customer requirements are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Lead and execute APQP for new product development and new programs
· Work with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks
· Develop and implement quality plans to ensure that customer requirements are met
· Develop and maintain Control Plans with related functions
· Conduct and review process audits
· Analyze and resolve quality issues
· Stay up-to-date on the latest quality standards and best practices
· Support product launches and warranty programs
· Respond to and communicate internally and externally on customer quality issues and requirements.
· Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:
· Bachelor of Engineering or related field required.
· Bilingual (Korean//English) strongly preferred.
· Prefer 5 years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on APQP
· Experience with high volume production process preferred.
· Basic metrology skills, Blue print reading and SPC knowledge.
· Computer skills to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
· Experience with Control Plans and Process auditing
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Office Work Environment.
· Plant work environment with fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
· Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment and follow safety-related requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Lifting up to 50 lbs (with assistance).
· Standing /Walking for extended periods.
· Sitting for extended periods.
· Frequent bending, reaching with arms forward/above the shoulders.
· Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
· Ability to multitask.
· Ability to analyze information, identify problems.
