The incumbent performs routine support tasks to maintain automotive parts and inventory.Organization: The Parts Manager reports to the Assistant Fleet Manager and supervises the Parts Expediter.Essential Functions: Supervises employees, performing related human resources functions and completing necessary paperwork.Orders, receives and issues parts and supplies.Ensures that parts and supply transactions are properly documented.Researches technical information concerning parts and supplies.Maintains and verifies appropriate inventory levels.Assists in administering various parts and supply contracts.Performs related work as assigned.Working Conditions: HazardsChemicals – Some exposure associated with automotive service shop environment.EnvironmentOffice, with significant time spent in automotive service shop environment.Physical EffortRoutine lifting up to 25 pounds.FLSANon-ExemptKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of modern storeroom and inventory practices. Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and vendors. Computer literacy, required.Education, Experience and Training: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics or Supply Chain Management required with at least six (6) years’ related experience – OR – Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.Special Conditions: Criminal Records Check to include fingerprinting.Twelve-month probationary periodValid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver’s LicenseMust wear uniform to include safety equipment.Work beyond normal work schedule.*Position Established: March 2025*
