Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and Virginia Teacher License with endorsement in applicable subject area. Preferred: Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

Work Schedule: 10M (217 days) - 7.25 hrs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate mastery of the content area and prepare daily instruction using the division's curriculum.
- Assess students' learning on an ongoing basis and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
- Develop summative tests and use results for further student instruction, grading, and placement.
- Maintain a favorable learning environment and encourage high standards of classroom behavior.
- Select and utilize materials and resources suitable for students' instructional levels.
- Organize learning activities to achieve specific concepts.
- Participate in district and school-level training programs, faculty meetings, and establish friendly relationships between home and school.
- Respect parental responsibilities and take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
