We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Maintenance worker to join our team and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of turf quality.
Job Summary:
As a Golf Course Maintenance worker , you will be responsible for the care and upkeep of the golf course grounds, including greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and landscaping. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and maintenance crew to ensure that the course is in optimal playing condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Turf Management: Perform routine maintenance tasks including mowing, aerating, topdressing, overseeding, and fertilizing on all playing surfaces.
- Irrigation & Drainage: Assist with the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, checking for malfunctions and ensuring optimal water distribution. Work on drainage improvements as needed.
- Landscape Care: Assist in maintaining landscape areas, including flower beds, shrubs, and trees, following designated planting and pruning schedules.
- Course Preparation: Prepare the golf course for daily play, including setting up tee markers, raking bunkers, and ensuring all areas are clean and in excellent condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the course operates smoothly and efficiently, complying with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license; ability to operate a variety of machinery.
