What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff Member position at Hanover Golf Club?
Hanover Golf Club is seeking a talented and experienced Line Cook to help our Culinary Team. Candidate must have experience working solo & with other cooks in our kitchen. Must be flexible and able to work with a team as this is a hands-on position. Hanover Golf Club is a semi-private club that serves our membership in the Stag Creek Grill, premier dining room, and poolside, as well as several banquets and member events throughout the year. This position comes along with benefits & competitive hourly rate. Must be willing to work holidays. Restaurant is open Wednesday-Sunday with some Monday & Tuesday being special event days.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow director or chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food handling
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and menu planning
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
