What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Hanover Hill Health Care Center?
Hanover Hill is currently seeking a full-time laundry aide to join our Environmental Services team. This department is crucial to creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe and clean environment throughout our upscale, 124 bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility located on a beautiful campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Laundry experience preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a good work ethic and a team player attitude. Eligible candidate must be able to perform the tasks of sorting, washing, folding and distributing laundry to residents and patients.
Job Requirements:
- Must have the availability to work every other weekend
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a high paced setting for extended periods of time and multitask
- Must possess and maintain a customer service oriented attitude with personnel, residents, family members, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be flexible in receiving work duties during work hours
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day laundry duties and functions as needed
- Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services
- Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
- Assure that established infection control and universal precautions are maintained at all times
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established environmental services procedures
