Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. The EMT will provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport to medical facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the necessary course of action.
• Administer basic life support as required, including airway management and medication administration.
• Utilize medical terminology accurately when communicating with other healthcare professionals and documenting patient care.
• Transport patients safely while monitoring their condition and providing ongoing care during transit.
• Collaborate with other emergency services personnel, including paramedics and hospital staff, especially in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary DME (Durable Medical Equipment) is available and functioning properly.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and any changes in the patient's condition accurately.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required.
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to emergency medicine.
• Experience with medication administration protocols and procedures.
• Knowledge of airway management techniques and practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
