What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Associate position at Hanover Township?
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all Township Facilities as directed from prioritized projects through the maintenance request process and/or as instructed by the Operations Manager.
*Responsible for program and event set ups and general custodian and cleaning functions.
*Performs minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry work as directed and assists the department with internal renovation projects including painting, carpeting, and tiling.
*This position ensures all Township facilities are clean and safe, that all equipment is in efficient running order and is cared for properly.
*Performs other duties as required for the successful operation of the Department.
This non-exempt position has a pay rate of $19.50 per hour.
The hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am – 3:00pm. Evening and weekend hours may be required based on need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience, preferably in a facility maintenance role.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office related applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 12 months of hire.
