Job Overview
The Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our service department by managing parts inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring that all parts are available for equipment repairs and automotive services. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for customer service. The Parts Specialist will work closely with technicians and Advisors to provide the right parts and solutions in a timely manner.
Duties
- Work with service technicians and advisors to coordinate parts for repair and service
- Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area, and stock room
- Inventory, maintain accurate records of received goods
- Maintain parts in appropriate storage areas
- Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
- Provide high level service to both internal and external customers
- Converse effectively /efficiently regarding customer parts status
- Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
