Role Summary:
Our client has successfully completed a year-long project to replace its legacy ERP system with IQMS, a leading ERP platform designed specifically for the manufacturing industry. With the system officially live as of the beginning of this year, the company is seeking an experienced and hands-on ERP Systems Specialist to take ownership of the platform, ensuring its effective adoption and optimization across the organization. This role will be responsible for learning the system in depth and driving user adoption, providing training, technical support, and ongoing enhancements.
The ERP Systems Specialist will manage the relationship with the vendor, stay current on new functionalities, and help implement new features or enhancements as needed. Given that IQMS is SQL-based, strong SQL skills are essential, and experience with Crystal Reports is highly desirable. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the ERP system, this position will serve as the primary go-to person for IT-related matters, working closely with the company’s outsourced IT service provider. Key Outcome / Responsibilities:
- Become the in-house expert on ERP system, driving user adoption and ensuring seamless integration into daily operations
- Provide hands-on training and technical support to end-users on the new ERP system, addressing queries and system-related issues and continuously improving user efficiency
- Manage the relationship with the ERP system vendor, staying ahead of system updates, enhancements, and new functionalities
- Support system optimization by leveraging SQL-based capabilities and implementing necessary customizations
- Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal system efficiency
- Plan and execute functional, system regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure system reliability
- Perform system updates and patches as needed, ensuring compatibility with the latest software versions
- Coordinate and analyze business processes, making recommendations to improve processes and resolve complex business problems
- Assist in developing cost estimates, and proposals, and work with vendors to resolve software issues, ensuring timely resolutions
- Customize system functionalities to align with specific business processes, working closely with relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across departments to identify system needs and ensure effective implementation
Qualifications Required:
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably with experience in recently implemented systems, Experience with system configuration, implementation, and support is highly desirable
- Proficiency in SQL for system management and customization is essential. Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Experience in system testing, deployment, and user training. Prior ERP support, implementation, or administration experience is required
- Ability to manage multiple projects, provide updates, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable balancing independent work with team collaboration, adjusting to business pivots, and implementing best practices
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and IT-related experience, preferably within the manufacturing environment
