SITE SUPERVISOR
Description of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Site Supervisor function in a lead capacity and oversee all facets of the operations. Incumbents are assigned full supervisory and administrative duties including the training and enforcement of the program operations.

Sample Responsibilities and Duties:
This list is neither inclusive nor exclusive, but indicative of several types of duties performed such as responsible for the daily operations of the center:
- Compliance with State licensing regulations; for communications with the licensing agency; and shall have the authority to acknowledge receipt of deficiency notices and to correct deficiencies that constitute immediate threats to children’s health and safety.
- Ensures Center, rooms and play areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Monitors the inventory of site materials, supplies, and equipment; makes purchases for the center, staying within the site budget.
- Oversees implementation of CACFP food program to meet children’s nutritional needs.
- Maintains appropriate staff level to accommodate children enrolled in the program in accordance with regulations.
- Recruit and enroll children for the childcare center.
- Assures accurate, complete, and confidential maintenance of employee and child records.
- Provides information to parents concerning their children’s development, abilities, and areas of concern; explains program procedures and classroom activities as requested.
- Oversees parent-teacher conferences in accordance with program regulations.
- Monitors teachers to ensure quality of teaching methods and support for program goals.
- Conducts staff performance evaluations and development plans.
- Recruit, hires, and trains cook, teachers, and teacher assistants as needed.
- Ensure that problems encountered by staff are resolved.
- Assist the Program Director to ensure smooth operation of program.
- Advises parents on program services and provides referrals to community agencies.
- Reports incidents of suspected child abuse to proper authorities.
- Plans and coordinates staff meetings to promote ongoing communication and teamwork.
- Attends meetings and trainings, as requested, to keep abreast of trends in the various service areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
AA (or 60 units) with 24 ECE/CD units including core courses (Child/human Growth & Development; Child/Family/Community or Child and Family Relations; and Programs/Curriculum), plus 6 units Administration, plus 2 units Adult Supervision, plus 4-year Teaching experience or a Site Supervisor Permit (See California Teacher Permit Matrix) from Local Credentialing office.

License or other requirements of Employment
- All Employees must submit and pass physical examination, Tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Criminal record background and child abuse clearance.
- Food Safety Certificate (Recommended)
- May require Child/Adult CPR and First Aid Certificates and renew upon expiration.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
