Gun Specialist
Position Summary:
The Gun Specialist plays a crucial role in preparing firearms and sporting goods for online auctions. This includes accurately describing auction lots, capturing high-quality images for listings, and assisting with post-auction processes such as background checks and item pickups. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to firearm regulations, and excellent customer service skills.
Reports To:
Office Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately describe firearms and sporting goods for auction listings.
- Write clear and detailed descriptions for each auction lot.
- Capture and upload high-quality images of auction items.
- Assist with loading and unloading auction items.
- Support open house events and customer inquiries.
- Conduct background checks in compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain and update the Acquisition & Disposition (A&D) log.
- Ensure cameras and catalog spreadsheets are properly transferred.
- Assist with auction pickups and customer transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Gun and sporting goods experience preferred.
