HomeCare General Superintendent: This is a skilled position requiring extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry. Playing a key role in the successful completion of any build, Superintendents must exhibit a strong work and leadership skills along with the ability to plan, organize, direct and control large scale, high-end residential construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee jobsite safety on multiple small projects and remodels.
- Quality assurance and quality control on multiple small projects and remodels.
- Identify all technical aspects and any problem areas prior to construction on multiple small projects and remodels.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Review and oversee scheduling on multiple projects. Identify potential scheduling issues.
- Help facilitate the production sequence.
- Coordination of scopes of work with trades and subcontractors.
- Facilitating Superintendents keeping progress schedules current.
- Maintain close communication with the superintendents and project manager on any unforeseen problems that develop.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and constructability problems as the arise on various projects.
- Ensure layout is completed on all small projects and remodels.
- Oversee the foreman, carpenters, and techs within Hansen HomeCare.
- Assist with the review of shop drawings and submittals as needed.
Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent. College education with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred.
- Completion of craft apprenticeship program or equivalent skill level and training.
10 years of experience in supervisory position. - Ability to understand project scopes and objectives as well as other construction trades.
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Current OSHA-30 Certification (or obtained within six months from date of hire).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major issues develop.
- Effective use of computers and other technology.
- Willingness to be held accountable and act honestly and with integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain diplomatic and calm under pressure.
- Ideally has been the lead superintendent on several homes roughly 10,000 square feet in size involving heavy sitework, concrete, structural steel, slab on metal deck, complicated high-end finishes, and complex mechanical and electrical systems.
