Title: Bagging Operator I Department: Milling / Processing

Position Responsibilities
This role will work in a Pet/Animal Food Manufacturing Facility performing Sanitation Duties to meet standards for GMP’s, Food Safety and OSHA. Expected to follow safely guidelines. This is a 1st shift position working 7am to 3pm, Monday thru Friday.
Essential Position Functions
- Operate Fischbein Sewing Machine with weighing scale to achieve daily production goals.
- Ensures proper weight in each bag.
- Stack 50lb bags on pallets / meeting company standards to satisfy customer and Food Safety standards.
- Maintains daily production logs.
- Operate forklift to move pallets in storage. Load customer bag orders onto trailers per schedule, complete required documentation for shipment.
- Maintain a clean work area / following strict sanitation guidelines in the Bagging / Warehouse area.
- Understanding and complying with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Adhere to company’s Safety, Food Safety and Sanitation policies.
- Able to work overtime as needed, temporarily work off shifts.
- Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. and pull/push 150 lbs. unassisted, shovel material, sweep and dust. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception
Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of the job: regular exposure to working outside and all weather conditions, high volume traffic conditions, airborne particles, moving equipment and mechanical parts, flammable materials, and dust, dirt/grease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
