Job Details
Hansen Talent Group has an up-coming role for a server administrator to join a highly visible team with a local enterprise. This team will be supporting the server performance of Microsoft server environments. The ideal candidate is local and willing to work onsite as needed, but team can be open to strong remote candidates.
The Server Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support and resolution of all server problems to ensure SLAs are met and server environment is running as efficiently as possible.
Duties:
- Monitor and troubleshoot MS Windows Server environment. Ensuring high server performance and providing systems tuning as needed.
- Maintain server software and hardware as well as support server management tools for the client environment.
- Update server software.
- Ensure system security is maintained, identifying any potential vulnerabilities and work to resolve with security teams.
- Create server scripts to automate processes using VB Scripts, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Create documentation on all scripts and server performance issues to be used in training and by production support teams.
Qualifications:
- In-depth experience supporting MS Windows Server environments
- Scripting work with PowerShell and SQL
