Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong z/OS Systems Programmer to work with a hybrid team in the Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise Mainframe infrastructure support experience as well as working knowledge of storage products.
The z/OS Systems Programmer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Mainframe systems and subsystems as well as providing technical guidance to non-technical leaders.
Duties:
- Managing hardware/software support licenses to include submitting purchase requisitions.
- Supporting the day to day operations of the Mainframe z/OS
- Updating JCL for job scheduling and monitoring system logs via SDFS
- Serving as an active participate in the preparation for disaster recovery exercises to include several weekly meetings.
- Support activities to recovery the z/OS and other applications as outlined in runbook.
- Providing detailed recommendations for technical environment to leadership.
Qualifications:
- In-depth experience working with z/OS systems and sub systems
- Participation in disaster recovery activities
- Knowledge of Mainframe storage systems and support
- ability to work onsite 2-3 days/week
