SUMMARY
Keeps machines oiled, daily 5 S of plant, and miscellaneous maintenance assistance as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs daily oiling requirements. Advises supervisor of oil needed. Plans and schedules sump cleanout with production supervisors.
Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties as needed. Cleans around work areas.
Drives company vehicle to pick-up parts from suppliers when required. Operates, forklift, sump tanks, etc.
Follows and adheres to company safety polices and practices. Maintains good housekeeping.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Wears safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Have High School diploma or general education degree (GED), and one-year experience in conventional metal working machine maintenance. Must be able to read, use and/or interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic prints, and inspection equipment. Good math skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, lubricating chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
