Job Summary:

Maintain Hansen IGA's “hometown proud” image by providing excellent customer service while efficiently and bagging customers groceries correctly. Responsible for keeping bags stocked, keeping area clean and cleaning duties as assigned. Responsible for assisting in other departments as necessary.

Supervision:

Reports directly to Front End Manager.

Qualifications:

• 14 years of age or older
• Must be able to follow direction and perform duties on your own
• Able to lift 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally
• Positive, friendly and team oriented
• Able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
• Stand for the extent of a shift

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous and greeting customers
• Help customers find merchandise and answer customer’s questions
• Handle grocery items properly and use correct methods of bagging
• Complete any additional duties as they are assigned
• Stock and face shelves when needed
• Complete cleaning duties as assigned.
• Keep bagging area clean, which including but not limited to: sweep, dust, clean belts/lane, etc.
