Manager
- Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with store safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the performance and supervision of all employees working dairy and frozen departments and ensures their compliance with store and department policies and procedures.
- Monitors the receiving and unloading of frozen and dairy product
- Check products to confirm quality, count, and condition
- Enforce receiving procedures according to store policy
- Orders necessary merchandise and supplies for frozen/dairy department according to store procedures
- Ensures effective inventory control to maximize sales, turnover and to minimize over and under stocks.
- Keeps refrigerated displays on shelves well stocked according to tag locations
- Ensures proper storage for all frozen/dairy food merchandise according to store procedures
- Ensures that all merchandise is rotated in accordance with store policy and product code pulls all out-of-code merchandise
- Ensures that all frozen/dairy merchandise is properly priced and price changes implemented in a timely manner in accordance with store procedures
- Ensures frond end accuracy and integrity
- Monitors and enforces a regular and effective housekeeping program throughout the departments
- Keeps all frozen/dairy cases clean according to prescribed procedures; monitors temperatures and operating conditions of storage area and refrigerated cases.
- Ensures that frozen/dairy employees respond promptly to emergencies or potential safety hazards such as spills, broken glass or containers.
- Meets the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed above
- Interaction with customers will be friendly, courteous, positive and enthusiastic.
- Directs or shows customers where items are in the store.
- Stays productive while punched in.
- Greet customers by using the Ten Foot Rule.
- Other duties as they are assigned.
- Lift 80lbs occasionally, lift 40lbs regularly.
- Stand for the duration of work shift.
- Reaching and pulling merchandise regularly.
- Occasionally, work in a cooler that is 35 degrees Fahrenheit,
55 degrees Fahrenheit daily.
