Hanser’s Safety and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall safety and maintenance of a facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, identifying potential hazards, implementing preventative measures, managing maintenance activities, and coordinating emergency response plans, all while prioritizing the well-being of employees and visitors within the buildings and properties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety Management
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and potential risks within the facility.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training to all employees on proper procedures and emergency response.
- Maintain safety equipment and ensure its proper usage.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships for facility maintenance contracts and services.
- Coordinate building upgrades
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives
- Ensure proper upkeep of building systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression systems
- Perform water runoff testing and reporting.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and designated roles
- Conduct regular emergency drills and training exercises
- Coordinate with local emergency services and authorities
- Manage crisis situations and provide necessary support during emergencies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in facility management operations, including maintenance and repairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Leadership abilities to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address safety concerns
- Proficiency in relevant software for facility management and safety reporting
- Relevant certifications may be preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
