What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Sales Merchandiser position at Hanson Faso Sales & Marketing, Inc.?
The Field Sales Merchandiser is responsible for the HQ work and merchandising functions for assigned store groups and direct accounts within an assigned geographic territory. The Field Sales Merchandiser does not have any management responsibility and reports to the Sales Director.
• Expand distribution of the organization’s total portfolio with your assigned accounts.
• Develop working relationships with store personnel.
• Maintain sales and merchandising call schedule frequency as assigned by management.
• Manage appointments with/for the manufacturers.
• Present new items to store personnel.
• Request samples as needed from clients.
• Gain Incremental sales on displays and initiative items.
• Check shelves, coolers, and cases to make sure stock is in code and properly tagged.
• Collect competitive information as requested.
• Perform assigned in-store audits.
• Update management of account activity and customer happenings through our market pulse report.
• Maintain details and inform management on category reviews at assigned customers.
• Place turnover orders within store as required.
• Present in-store promotional materials as required.
• Perform merchandising duties at assigned stores as requested by clients or customers, including stocking and/or replenishing shelves with merchandise.
• Complete necessary administrative forms for new items, promotions, etc, for non-in-house accounts (these are typically accounts with less than $1,000,000 in overall HF client sales dollars).
• Task all work, approvals and communication through our CRM including pricing, promotions, ads, APLs, form work, and client email approvals.
This job requires a task-oriented person with basic computer skills, who is legally eligible to both work and drive in the United States. The Field Sales Merchandiser is the first step on the sales career path and should be in regular contact with the Territory Manager and Sales Director within an assigned territory.
