What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Hanson International, Inc.?
Hanson International, located in St. Joseph, Michigan, specializes in the design, build, sample, and inspection of precision molds – primarily for the die cast industry. The maintenance mechanic position supports Hanson’s manufacturing by making machine repairs, assisting in die cast samples, and performing preventative maintenance on machines. The position assists with facility projects such as rigging and moving machines, and repairs to the buildings and infrastructures. Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform timely repairs on machines.
- Projects such as equipment overhaul, fabrication, repair and/or improvements.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshooting on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Assist with programming of robots and programmable logic controllers.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma with (5) five years of experience in the maintenance field.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Good mechanical knowledge.
- Must be a self-directed individual that can keep productive throughout the day with limited direction from supervisor.
- Must have your own tools.
- Strong experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience.
- Experience in die cast machine operation is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
