Hanson International, located in St. Joseph, Michigan, specializes in the design, build, sample, and inspection of precision molds for the die cast and plastic industry. Hanson International is currently seeking an experienced candidate to fill a Sales Project Engineer position.
The Sales Project Engineer will be responsible for managing sales opportunities, developing customer relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects. This role requires a strong technical background in tool and die manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with internal sales team, design team, and customers to design and sell die cast dies and plastic injection molds.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales growth.
- Identify customer needs and provide technical solutions aligned with Hanson International’s capabilities.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure project feasibility and successful execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and project updates.
- Monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competitive developments.
- Assist in marketing efforts, trade shows, and industry events.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in sales, project management, or engineering within the tool and die industry (preferred).
- Strong understanding of tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer visits and industry events.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
