Engineering Student Co-op (Roadway, Aviation, and Environmental)
Hanson Professional Services Inc. is a dynamic, employee-owned engineering consulting firm of more than 500 employees providing a full range of multi-disciplined engineering, scientific, and allied services throughout the USA.

Co-op students will typically support one or more experienced professional staff in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of our organization. Students may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the Hanson community. This position may require travel to suppliers, customers, or other Hanson locations. Students can expect a 40-hour work week.

All candidates must be actively enrolled in a 4-year college or university with a civil engineering degree program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for the civil engineering industry and a desire to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, analysis, and construction of roadway projects.
- Support the design and planning of airport facilities.
- Conduct environmental site assessments and fieldwork.
- Perform calculations, analyses, and prepare design plans and specifications.
- Conduct research and analysis on aviation trends and technologies.
- Participate in field surveys, site visits, and inspections.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Support project managers with documentation, reporting, and technical presentations.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant design and analysis software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
The salary range for this position is $21 - $24 per hour.
