Job Description:
We currently have a full-time opening available on our fabrication team. No experience needed! We will provide the needed training. The essence of this role is to produce custom fabricated assembly and products by following blue prints, bill of materials and following work instructions. The fabricator must have the ability to accurately setup and operate a wide variety of hand tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment as to complete work. Main duties include bending and crimping metal and some occasional drilling.
Read work orders, cut lists and/or blueprints to select type and size of metal stock and determine dimensions and tolerances. Install blade on machine using hand tools. Set controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions. Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece, using hand tools and measuring devices. Verify dimensions of finished workpiece, using measuring devices. May also assist in other fabrication operations such as drilling and bending.
Job Requirements:
Understand math and use fluently.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to read and use tape measure and other measuring tools accurately.
Read blueprints and drawing papers to ensure accurate part production.
Use overhead crane and forklift.
Able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to read, follow detailed instructions and understand English.
Must understand and follow the safety and quality policies and procedures.
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments.
Good attendance is a must. Tardiness and/or absence will not be tolerated.
Shifts can be flexible but are typically Monday-Friday starting at 7:00am with possible overtime.
Wage depends on experience with opportunity for advancement.
