Tax Planning Specialist
Hantz Group is a Michigan-based financial company that works with individuals and businesses to achieve their financial goals. As a Family Office, we manage over $11B of assets, have 20 offices, and employ over 600 people.
Our Tax Strategy and Planning
We believe tax planning is a proactive process that requires monitoring clients' tax situations throughout the year to deliver accurate tax projections before final returns are prepared. Our team of specialists provides strategies to minimize clients' future taxes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Tax Liability: Identify opportunities to reduce tax burdens for clients.
- Prepare Tax Projections: Develop comprehensive tax plans to minimize future tax liabilities.
- Prepare and File Tax Returns: Accurately complete and submit tax returns for clients.
- Market and Sell Appropriate Tax Plans: Effectively communicate tax strategies to clients and promote relevant services.
- Take a Holistic Approach: Collaborate with financial professionals to provide comprehensive client service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-year experience preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals.
- Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Strong leadership qualities, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with CCH Axcess Software preferred.
