General Job Description
QC Inspectors in Gas Chromatography play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products in the encapsulated film plant. They are responsible for the visual inspection and sample collection of raw materials and finished goods, utilizing their expertise in measurement and problem-solving to uphold the highest standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sample Collection & Analysis: Collect and prepare samples for analysis using the Gas Chromatograph (GC).
- Data Interpretation & Documentation: Accurately interpret and record GC values, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Reporting & Compliance: Email test results and verify that all products meet required specifications.
- Measurement Proficiency: Willingness to learn and utilize various measuring tools to ensure precise assessments.
- Basic Mathematical Skills: Perform simple calculations as needed for quality assessments.
- Product Quality Monitoring: Follow established inspection protocols to assess product quality, identifying and reporting defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
- Record Keeping & Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection results, including photographs and detailed descriptions of any defects; assist in managing inspection documentation systems.
- Testing & Evaluation: Conduct tests on incoming, in-process, and finished product samples, evaluating characteristics such as thickness, color, adhesion, and optical properties, and accurately recording test results.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure measuring equipment and tools are properly calibrated and functioning; promptly communicate any issues with equipment.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with production teams and quality control staff to address quality concerns and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance efficiency and prevent product damage.
- Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Participate in team problem-solving activities to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
- Training & Development: Engage in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Safety & Compliance: Proactively participate in safety initiatives and adhere to all internal and OSHA-mandated safety procedures.
- Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those outlined in the Quality Manual and Associate Handbook.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Monday-Sunday, based on Production schedules.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Laboratory experience.
- The ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Must be able to read and write in English or to communicate in American Sign Language
- Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Flexible work availability and able to work overtime as needed on same-day notice.
- The ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and lift to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial and laboratory equipment.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility.

- Need to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuously improving environment.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment.
- The ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to each other.

Compensation details: 20-21.5 Hourly Wage
