The Program Manager oversees and drives the successful execution of aerospace manufacturing programs from initiation through delivery. They are responsible for meeting program objectives related to scope, budget, timeline, and quality while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, effective communication skills, and expertise in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage aerospace manufacturing programs from concept to delivery
Develop program plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance teams
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring alignment with their expectations and requirements
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous communication with stakeholders
Prepare and deliver program updates, including status reports, risks, and performance metrics
Identify potential risks and issues impacting program performance
Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges
Escalate critical issues to leadership with recommendations for resolution
Manage program budgets, track financial performance, and ensure cost efficiency
Optimize resource allocation to meet program milestones
Coordinate with HR and functional managers to secure necessary talent and tools
Ensure all program activities comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001) and regulatory requirements
Oversee quality assurance measures and coordinate corrective actions when necessary
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies for program management
Share lessons learned and best practices across programs and teams
Requirements:
Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
BS Engineering or other related field preferred, Associates degree in Engineering or other related field required
Project or Program Management certification preferred but not required
15 years of experience in program or project management within aerospace manufacturing
Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs with cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and systems
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
