Position Overview
This role will support several functional responsibilities related to trade, industrial security, and regulatory compliance within Hanwha Defense USA (HDUSA). This role will report to the International, Trade & Compliance Manager and will provide support with export / import and corporate compliance initiatives and requirements, to ensure compliance with U.S. Government laws and regulations, HDUSA policies and procedures, quality requirements, and other defense industry standard practices and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support corporate, line of business, functional, and programmatic compliance with all U.S. export / import laws and regulations, to include the ITAR, EAR, CBP, FTR BATFE, OFAC and other applicable federal government regulations.
- Stays current on developments concerning export / import laws, regulations and policies including changes involving the processing of licenses and agreements through the U.S. Government. Coordinates implementation of these changes at the corporate level.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of corporate policies, processes, and procedures.
- Supports initiatives for process improvements related to corporate trade compliance policy, program, and processes.
- Analyze licensing or agreement requirements related to commodity jurisdiction / product classification, technology transfers, business development efforts, program execution, and product fielding support.
- Analyzes and reviews information related to proposals, contracts, purchase orders, presentations and product development and participates in technical programmatic discussion / meetings for various products and services.
- Participates in preparing export- and import-related training materials and conducts or oversees training to all relevant employees.
- Review and maintain quality documentation and ISO9001 : 2015 requirements.
- Work with FCO and EO on FCL / SSA FOCI mitigation records, meetings, and requirements.
- Contributes to implementation of FCL / SSA FOCI policies, procedures, training requirements.
- Conducts, participates in, and prepares for compliance audits on a periodic basis.
- Continually develops knowledge of ITAR, EAR, CBP, and FTR regulations by attending seminars and conferences, participating in training, and keeping abreast of proposed and final regulatory changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
