SUMMARY
Hanwha QCELLS Georgia, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning phase of manufacturing facility construction projects. This role requires expertise in testing, validation, and system integration to ensure all building systems function efficiently and meet design specifications. The Commissioning Manager will coordinate with internal teams, design builders, and subcontractors to guarantee a seamless transition from construction to operational readiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commissioning Oversight: Develop and execute commissioning plans, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and process systems function per design intent.
- Testing & Validation: Supervise and document building systems' startup, testing, and performance verification.
- Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with CSA, mechanical, electrical, and utility teams to resolve issues and optimize system integration.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design standards, operational requirements, and regulatory codes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all commissioning activities align with safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Deficiency Resolution: Identify and address system deficiencies, coordinating with contractors and vendors for timely resolution.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Monitor commissioning timelines, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of commissioning progress, test results, and final system acceptance reports.
- Training & Handover: Develop training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to facility operations teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in commissioning management for manufacturing facilities or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and process systems.
- Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE, NFPA, and industry commissioning standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and commissioning management software.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in solar, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing construction projects.
- Commissioning certifications (e.g., BCxP, CxA, LEED AP).
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction principles.
