SUMMARY
The Logistics Manager - Interconnection will oversee and track material orders, ensuring a smooth and timely delivery of materials to support substation construction and interconnection projects. This role requires strong teamwork and collaboration across multiple departments and with external vendors. The Logistics Manager will manage vendor relationships, coordinate material delivery and storage, and ensure the optimal execution of purchase orders. The position requires proactive leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve material delays, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the lifecycle of the project. A key focus of this role is to foster a collaborative team environment that ensures all project goals are met effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Management & Coordination:
- Oversee and track material orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
- Coordinate the delivery, shipping, and storage of materials to meet interconnection project needs.
- Ensure vendor services align with purchase order terms and project requirements.
- Maintain real-time material tracking with locations and delivery dates, accessible to all project teams.

Reporting & Problem-Solving:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations related to material management, industry trends, and vendor performance.
- Problem-solve material delays and communicate expectations to ensure project continuity.

Vendor & Supply Chain Management:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, fostering effective partnerships.
- Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and re-evaluation processes for optimal vendor performance.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to address unacceptable products and ensure timely returns or replacements.

Collaboration & Coordination:
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless design, procurement, delivery, construction, and project turnover.
- Travel to job sites, company offices, vendors, and trade shows to strengthen relationships and ensure quality execution.

Team Leadership & Development:
- Develop a high-performing supply chain team through hiring, training, and performance reviews.
- Provide support to procurement teams on change orders and contractual needs.

Strategic Support & Business Growth:
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to proactively address supply chain issues.
- Partner with accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely invoice payments.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the department and company, and take on additional responsibilities as needed to support overall success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of work experience in a similar logistics or materials management role.
- Familiarity with substation equipment and interconnection vendor networks.
- Strong understanding of materials, supply chain, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Willingness to travel as needed for job-related activities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
