About the position :
We are looking for a Hardware Quality Assurance Product Engineer to join our B2B surveillance business based in Teaneck, NJ. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our product development team to assess, test, and validate new hardware products before they are released to the market. You will have a hands-on approach to ensure that our products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Your responsibilities include :
- Develop and execute hardware test plans, test cases, and procedures for new and existing products with new firmware.
- Perform functional, performance, reliability, and stress testing on hardware components.
- Work with testing equipment such as multimeters, thermal cameras, and signal analyzers.
- Understand environmental and durability and look for vulnerabilities.
- Understand installation requirements like conduit, electrical boxes, running cables, type of mounting hardware, and extras.
- Interface with various company departments and sometimes customers and / or vendors to investigate quality problems and provide information as needed
- Develop, document, add, and maintain functional and regression test cases and other test artifacts.
- Communicate with the product manager to resolve design issues and recommend enhancements.
- Helping with new product introduction literature, videos, snapshots, and training material.
