What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Sales Representative position at Hanwha Vision America?
The Inside Application Sales position is responsible to provide accurate specification interpretations that drive the technical evaluation portion of the sales process. This position requires the candidate to maintain contacts with all of Hanwha Vision America’s sales persons, dealers, consultants and end users within North America. Main responsibly will be to work with each sales person and support their opportunities in a technical capacity to secure the sales. This would include technical presentations, review of Hanwha system tools, and device managers, training of technicians on best practices, review specifications or RFPs, and providing cross over BOMs of competitor’s bids. The IAS will be required to be trained in the NJ HQ on occasion to be up to speed on the latest products, technologies or sales and technical techniques
Responsible:
- Responsible for maintaining regular support as an extension of the RSM/ASM/RSD support where required from a technical sales approach that supports the existing Ecosystem.
- Responsible for demonstrating operation, ease of installation, and system capabilities of Hanwha Techwin’s video product to integrators, consultants, engineers and end users
- Serve as main first-line technical Sale support for all opportunities in the region
- Provide technical phone support when not traveling
- Report on product and system related issues if found to the technical support team in NJ HQ
- Being able to provide training and sales presentations to system integrators and customers
- Support the territorial sales staff at all times on a pre-sales technical basis
- Provide weekly report on sales activity on what transpired within the week and what Hanwha Techwin America needs to improve upon to secure more business opportunities
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of network-based security systems, and industry VMS systems and setup
- Proven ability to articulate IP, Network, and analog technology, product features, and benefits to both business and technical users
- Must be able to identify all of the relevant technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales and most of the installation process
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong positive relationships throughout the sales cycle internally and externally
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Networking or other Technology degree is strongly preferred. Any design capability a plus in Vizio/CAD/BIM/REVIT
