ABOUT THE ROLE
At Hapag-Lloyd, we will support the further development of your skills in our culturally diverse, stimulating environment as you help us grow our customer base. As the Sales Quality Coordinator, you will provide assistance to the Sales Commercial team by managing the customers’ technical requirements as pertains to FIS and rate agreements in line with Hapag-Lloyd’s quality standards and ensure compliance with the company guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Directly prepares contracts and amendments for processing by the Hapag-Lloyd Global Sourcing (HLGS).
· Proactively runs audit reports to ensure contracts are correctly created.
· Reviews and handles unrated shipments and communicates with the proper parties if changes need to be made to the bookings to allow for rating.
· Reviews and clears booking and documentation auto-refresher exceptions.
· Submits and checks tariff filings.
· Updates “No New Surcharge” contracts via mass updates when charges are added to the tariffs.
· Files and publishes rates, service contracts and amendments including in third party platforms.
· Assists in reviewing bid packages to ensure the contracts are ultimately created according to the tender specifications.
· Investigates rate issues and handles customers’ disputes via the dispute module.
· Proactively runs reports to identify potential incorrectly rated shipments when contract errors are discovered and fixes contracts when issues are found.
· Responsible for waivers related to incorrect rate agreement setup.
· Develops alternative solutions and plans to solve problems.
· Supports the Sales Coordination Commercial team with issues and inquiries.
- Handles the organizational catalog updates as instructed by Sales Commercial for NNE MR’s and liaises with the correct parties for the new customer process
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma and 2 years’ work-related experience in the Maritime/Liner Shipping/Transportation industry or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
· Passion for account management and sales including identification, negotiation and issue resolution.
· Results driven and motivated to independently drive solutions that meets our customers’ expectations.
· Knowledge and understanding of shipping routings, schedules and the general practices of various countries, carriers, ports, and terminals with the ability to apply that knowledge to make effective job assignments.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help drive positive customer engagement and performance.
· Team player that works well with others to drive success for the customer, team, and the organization.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, organize work, and implement action items.

· Ability to use maps, atlases, and other geographic reference materials to determine where nearest ports and terminals are to customers.
· Knowledge of the best mode of transportation for ground transport between the customer and terminals.

- Proficient using MS Office word processing and spreadsheet software.
